Live Brighter & Work Smarter
Your home’s electrical system runs quietly in the background until the moment it doesn’t. At Phase 3 Electrical, every technician is licensed, background-checked, and trained on the current Virginia code.
We serve homeowners across Newport News and Hampton Roads with workmanship that holds up long after we’re gone. Our Class A Master Electrician leads every project personally, not just on paper. Backed by an A+ Better Business Bureau rating, we are the team your neighbors already trust
Whether you’re building something new, renovating an older property, or bringing an aging system into the modern era, Phase 3 Electrical has you covered from the meter to the outlet. We handle panel replacements, service upgrades, EV charger circuits, GFCI and AFCI protection, smart home wiring, interior and exterior lighting, ceiling fan installations, and full rewiring projects.
We work across Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, York County, and the greater Hampton Roads region. Every job is permitted correctly and inspected through the proper municipal channels, no exceptions.
Small electrical problems in your home rarely fix themselves. Catching them early is the difference between a simple repair and a serious hazard.
Electrical issues in Hampton Roads homes often go unnoticed for years because the symptoms seem minor at first. A light that dims occasionally feels like an inconvenience. A breaker that trips every few weeks seems manageable. But these are your home's way of telling you the system is being pushed past its limits.
Homes built before 1990 were designed for a fraction of the electrical demand we place on them today. Streaming devices, home offices, EV chargers, smart appliances, and central air all compete for capacity on systems that were never designed to handle them. Phase 3 Electrical will come out, assess your system completely, and give you a straight answer about what needs attention now and what can wait. We never recommend work you do not need.
Our Class A Master Electrician is personally involved in every job, not just on paper. We pull every permit, coordinate the municipal inspection, and never hand your project off to a subcontractor. You always know who is coming to your home and exactly what they will be doing.
Most panel replacements take four to six hours. Your power will be off during that window, but we schedule early so you are back online well before evening. Complex upgrades involving service mast or main line work may take longer, and we will tell you upfront.
Yes. A Level 2 home charger needs a dedicated 240-volt circuit run from your panel to your parking spot. We handle the permit, circuit, mounting, and inspection in a single day. If your panel needs room first, we will sort that out during the initial assessment.
Not always, but most of it has been disturbed, overloaded, or covered with insulation over the decades, which makes it genuinely risky. Most Virginia insurers will not cover homes with active knob-and-tube wiring. We inspect what is actually there and recommend only what the condition honestly warrants.
We do. A standard home inspection rarely goes deep on electrical systems. We inspect the panel, wiring, grounding, GFCI and AFCI protection, and overall load capacity. For older Hampton Roads homes, especially, a dedicated electrical inspection before closing can save you from costly surprises after you move in.
Stop using that circuit immediately. A burning electrical smell means something is overheating, and that is a fire risk. If smoke is visible or the smell is strong, leave and call 911 first. Otherwise, call Phase 3 Electrical at 757-715-1586, and we will get back to you the same day.
